July was chosen as Smart Irrigation Month because it`s traditionally the month of peak demand for outdoor water use in many areas, including San Diego County. Outdoor irrigation, including for landscapes, comprises approximately 50% of the typical home`s water use💧
💡Today`s Smart Irrigation Tip : Use the "Cycle and Soak" method 💦 Instead of running your sprinklers for 15 consecutive minutes, run them in 5-minute sessions with time in between to allow water to soak into the soil. This minimizes run-off!
