Rainbow MWD Approves $10M Financing Agreement for Capital Projects

The Rainbow Municipal Water District will be paying for $10 million of capital projects and equipment with a loan.

A 5-0 Rainbow board vote April 23 approved a resolution authorizing an installment purchase agreement with U.S. Bank to finance the infrastructure and equipment. The loan will begin as a line of credit with a variable interest rate before converting to a 4.7% fixed rate for the remainder of the ten-year period.

Floating Solar Panels Proposed for Sweetwater Reservoir

FPUD and Eastern Recognize Community Leaders

At a special board meeting April 30, the Fallbrook Public Utility District and Eastern Municipal Water District celebrated switching water wholesalers in a move that allows Eastern to provide water service to FPUD. FPUD also recognized many community leaders who worked hard spreading the message of the benefits of detaching. They made phone calls, posted Measure A signs around town, ran ads, and created a campaign to inform people that made the switch go from a possibility into a reality.

City of San Diego begins pipeline work on Nobel Drive in UTC

Pipeline construction along a section of Nobel Drive in University City began Monday morning, according to the City of San Diego’s Pure Water Program.

The city says traffic was moved into the eastbound lanes to make way for the new portion of the Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project.

Regional Agriculture Program Expands to San Diego and Riverside Counties
